Newsroom
What we're saying.
Latest
This is where we post our own announcements: product launches, milestones, partnership news, and the occasional founder's note. For longer-form editorial — essays, interviews, field notes — see the Magazine.
June 2026 — 1 million members
We crossed one million active members worldwide. The first message was sent in March 2024 between two people in Casablanca. Two years later there are members in 84 countries and we're growing fastest in Madrid, Mexico City, and Lisbon.
May 2026 — Date Spots launches in 12 cities
Our curated venue program is live in Paris, London, Marrakech, New York, Tokyo, Casablanca, Madrid, Mexico City, Lisbon, Berlin, Barcelona, and Istanbul. Local editors visited 380 venues in person before launch. We say no to roughly four in five places we visit.
April 2026 — Series A
We closed a $14M Series A led by Index Ventures with participation from Atomico and several angels from the dating industry. The money goes to local editors, safety operations, and a small product team to extend the in-app date-booking flow.
Editorial calendar
We publish on a predictable cadence so you can plan around it. Most embargoes lift on Tuesday or Wednesday at 9am New York time.
- Quarterly product roundups (March, June, September, December)
- Annual transparency report (every February)
- Year-end couples report (every December)
- City launch announcements (rolling)
Quotable founder lines
If you're writing about us and need a clean quote, these are pre-approved:
"Every dating app stops at the match. We're the first one that helps two people actually meet." — Achraf Benfdela, CEO
"The product principle is simple: we don't ship anything that doesn't help two people actually meet. That has killed more features than it has launched." — Achraf Benfdela, CEO
Brand assets
Logos (light, dark, monogram), product screenshots, founder portraits, app icon, and approved imagery are available as a 320MB zip. Request via [email protected] — we send it within an hour during business days.
Press inquiries
All press contacts go through [email protected]. We're a small team — one press lead, one assistant — so the fastest reply is usually a clear subject line and a single specific question.
For breaking news or deadline-driven pieces, please put "urgent" in your subject line. We watch that inbox even on weekends.
