About LoverSpot

LoverSpot is the dating app for people tired of swiping forever. Founded in 2024 in Casablanca, we built the first dating app that helps two people actually meet — with structured date proposals, in-app video calls, and curated date venues vetted by local editors.

We are not Tinder. We are not Hinge. We are the next product, designed around the part those apps leave out: getting from "we matched" to "we're at dinner."

Founder bios

Achraf Benfdela — Co-founder & CEO

Previously product at Booking.com (3 years) and Vinted (2 years), where he led the in-app matching for the marketplace. Built LoverSpot after he and his cofounder counted their first dates from other apps and got to two in a year. Studied computer science at Mohammed V University in Rabat. Based in Casablanca.
